Staying in a catered GIte, with plenty of opportunities to sample the local wines on an evening, this week away provides 6 guided walks which aim to give a taste of the culture and heritage of this fascinating area. The name of the Ardeche mountains, is some what misleading. With the Pyrannees to the south and the Alps to their East, The Ardeche mountains are in fact not as high or as dominating, which creates for some great walking.
We are based out in the Ardeche year round, this gives us a unique insight, knowledge and connection to this beautiful area, that we can’t wait to share with you. It is with this knowledge that we have created these walks. They show off the best of the area we know and love.

Walk 2 – Banne and the Serre du Barre,
Botanitical gardens, chestnut forestry and a small mountain with stunning views. Views of the Alps from the dominating 900 metre summit.
Walk 3 – The Ardeche Gorge,
The crown jewles of the ARdeche, no hiking holiday to this part of the world would be complete without visiting this UNESCO protected site.
Walk 4- Montselgue and the Ardeche platau
The ARdeche Platau signifies the start of the Massif Central. Discover the heritage of the way people have lived here and how slowly things change…
Walk 5 – Tanargue ridge
A stunning ridge line that is a great day out.
Walk 6 – Mont Gerbier de Jonc and the Lac-d’Issalés.
A lovely little iconic peak of granite popping out of the ARdeche Platau and the little volcanic Lac-d’issarles which is also the named source of the Loire
