You will arrive at your accommodation on Saturday, meet your fellow paddlers and your coaches for the week, then the day is yours to relax.
on the Sunday we will run an introductory workshop and spend the day refining your flatwater skills. Then we will return to the accommodation for a debrief and food
Monday is introduction to moving water on one of our local rivers, where you will learn the basics of paddling on whitewater, by the end of the day you will be comfaortable ferrying across the river, and you will be learning about Eddies, and how to use them.
Tuesday is a short day, we will put your skills to the test on the first five km of the Ardèche, and then we will have the afternoon to relax and pick up supplies.
On Wednesday and Thursday we will embark on a solo expedition of the Ardèche, you will learn how to navigate all the rapids on the river, and there will be ample time to play on many of the rapids. After an overnight camp we will run the second half of the river all the way to St Martin where we will disembark, and enjoy a lovely lemon squash*
After a drive back to your accommodation you will be left to relax for the evening.
Your final day will be on another of our local rivers, which we will decide on, depending on water level.

Do I need travel insurance?
Yes we do recommend that you have travel insurance which will specifically cover you for the activities you will be doing with us.

What equipment do I need

We can provide you with all your paddling equipment excluding paddle specific clothing

What is the weather going to be like?

Generally the temperature will be in the 20’s clearly April will be a cooler time to be here, but there will be more water in the rivers.

So the countdown is ticking, you’ve booked your Adventure Ardeche trip, but what happens next? After booking, we’ll immediately send you an email confirmation receipt, which you should keep for your records. A member of the team will be in touch soon thereafter to arrange the finer details of your adventure, including where to meet, what you need to bring, accommodation, activities, and to answer to any questions you may have. If you have chosen to pay a deposit we will be in touch with you to take the remainder of your balance four weeks before you arrive.
